Citizen Boards

The City of West Plains has a commission form of government with a City Administrator. For specific Missouri law regulating the commission form of government, read Chapters 71 and 78 RSMo.

Another important part of the city's government process is the involvement of citizen boards. City Council appoints citizens to these boards as yet another attempt to involve the community in the decision making process. These board members make important recommendations to the City Council after studying the facts. Citizens are urged to contact board members about any issue relating to that board.
