ELECTRIC PERMIT

The City of West Plains provides electricity within the city limits. Rural residents are served by Howell-Oregon Electric. City lines are above ground on poles and service lines will enter a building through a meter or meters. Commercial and industrial users who need 3-phase power, transformers or other special services should contact City Utilities at City Hall at (417) 256-7176 or e-mail utility@westplains.net.

To request new electric service, inquire at the Utilities office in City Hall. The clerk will complete a work order for the line crew.

Fees:

  $1.00 per amp for residential service

  $1.00 per amp for commercial and industrial service
