The City of West Plains is accepting applications/resumes for an Assistant Police Chief. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  At least seven years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in law enforcement administration are strongly recommended for this position; ten years of experience is preferred.  Prior investigation experience also a preference.  Documented experience in high intensity decision making.  Good supervisory and people skills.  Have extensive knowledge of Missouri Law. Must be MO P.O.S.T. certified and have a valid MO driver's license - Class F. The West Plains Public Library Board of Trustees is accepting applications for a part-time Library Circulation Aide for the West Plains Public Library. Duties include shelving, shelf reading and shifting library materials, customer service, light janitorial duties. Qualifications are a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good computer, phone and people skills. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift or move 25-50 pounds.  E.O.E.  Applications may be submitted at City Hall, 1910 Holiday Lane or online westplains.net.
