The Ozark Heritage Welcome Center is located at 2999 Porter Wagoner Blvd. in West Plains, Missouri . The Southern Missouri Home Builder's Association realized the economic impact that tourism has on an economy and decided to build the information center and donate it to the community. Since opening in April 1997, the Center has tracked over 125,000 visitors. The Center provides free maps, brochures for West Plains and the surrounding region.Other services include a RV dump station, ($2 fee), picnic tables, free coffee, soda machine, and clean restrooms. The center also sells local crafts and Missouri postcards. The welcome center is now an affiliate of the State.
