Missouri State-West Plains is a public, two-year, open admission, separately accredited campus of the Missouri State University System. The West Plains campus offers two-year Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees, certificates and other courses as needed by employers and citizens of the area.

A full college experience with quality instruction in a relaxed, personal atmosphere is the hallmark of Missouri State-West Plains. The campus promotes academic and personal success for students through small classes, personalized attention, educational support services and numerous opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities.

Transfer and Career Programs
Students can choose from a rigorous transfer program that will prepare them to enter a four-year college or university, or a two-year career program that provides the technical, hands-on training needed to find employment in a variety of fields.

Evening College
A variety of classes are offered in the evening, including those leading toward four different degree programs.

Online Degree
Students also have the option to take courses online which will apply to several different degree programs, and they can complete the Associate of Arts in General Studies degree completely online.

Financial Aid
A full range of financial aid is available in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, and the A+ state scholarship for eligible students.

Bachelor’s and Master’s Completion Program
Students don’t have to stop with an associate’s degree at Missouri State-West Plains. The Outreach Program at Missouri State University offers several bachelor’s and master’s degrees on the West Plains campus.

In an effort to bring advanced technology training to area residents, Missouri State University-West Plains, the South Central Career Center, and the City of West Plains have joined forces to develop the Greater Ozarks Center for Advanced Technology (GOCAT). Through the Center, residents can complete degree and certificate programs in technology or participate in customized training opportunities. GOCAT provides advanced, hands-on manufacturing training to individuals – from high school age through adulthood – who are looking to expand their skills in a technical field.

AEL/HSE Program

The AEL/HSE program expands educational opportunities for adults and establishes programs that enable adults to acquire basic skills necessary to function in society and allow them to secure training to become more employable, productive and responsible citizens, as well as offering instruction to complete a high school level education.
